The Apostolic Congress
Who are we
The Apostolic Congress is a coalition of Christian leaders, passionate about policy and patriotism.
Our Christian faith and values allow for spiritual guidance and council to Americas leaders in public office.
We will continue to anoint and pray for our leaders according to
1st Timothy
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
Current Policy Update
One of the most important piece's of legislation in many years is being debated in Washington, it is a bill that affects every living American and our future healthcare system as well as our national debt.
We need to pray for God's guidance and direction as Congress considers this legislation.
You should first call on God and after much prayer and supplication call your Congressman and Senator.
Robert Upton Executive Director
The Apostolic Congress founded in 2001.
In June 2001 a group of evangelical leaders were invited to The White House for a briefing, after departing from the oval office the delegation resumed discussions and considerations for the group.
It was at this meeting that Reverend Robert Upton was elected unanimously by the delegation as the Executive Director of the newly formed organization that would be called The Apostolic Congress.
Giving honor where honor is due
Before The Moral Majority, The Christian Coalition and many other organizations including The Apostolic, Congress, there was a lone christian voice in our nations Capitol and that voice would cry out for the will of Christ in Government policy, that voice was the late Ed McAteer.
Ed was a man armed with conviction and passion and without fear traveled to Lynchburg Va. and there he recruited the late Dr. Jerry Falwell to bring the voice of the Church to the national arena, Soon the nation would learn that the Church was very much alive and well. From that day in 1979, Christian leaders are courted by both Democrats and Republicans. The late Ed McAteer pictured here both mentored and collaborated with Reverend Upton.
Florida Event
What an honor it was to spend time in Orlando recently with friends Tony Perkins, and Marco Rubio.
I was honored to have a season of prayer with Marco, and ask God for his will in the upcoming election as Marco is running for The United States Senate.
Mr Rubio is a devout Christian, and a man of conviction, if elected he will represent Florida with prayer and passion.
Future Changes Coming
The Apostolic Congress is growing and is going through some changes.
We will soon launch our new look and leadership.
Please be in prayer for us as we continue to seek only the will of Christ
